I am very passionate about fitness but I am not a former athlete, I actually did not really get into the fitness until I was in my early twenties. I began with just running, which turned into running in 5K, 10K and half marathons. But with all that running I knew I needed more, I needed strength, balance and agility. So I started resistance training, stronger legs meant I could run faster and a stronger upper body meant I could lift and carry heavy things, and with a strong core I found that my balance was improved and my lower back pain disappeared. I also had more energy and after every workout I felt accomplished. That is when it really sunk in...exercise was really important to my quality of life.
I don't run any more, as I have gotten older the pain in my feet and knees just wasn't worth it. There are so many other things I can do to stay conditioned. As we age we have to adapt and accept what our bodies can and cannot do. But that doesn't mean we should stop moving!
That is why I decided to dedicate the rest of my career years to helping adults over 40 improve their quality of life through exercise. There are countless studies showing how exercise can improve your quality of sleep, memory, overall health, and weight. It improves your quality of life. I believe we can be our best selves at any age and with my extensive training I can help you achieve your goals and feel better than you did when you were younger!

Strength and balance training is important across the course of our lives. Recent evidence shows even if you start in your 40’s it will make a huge difference to your ability to complete everyday activities later in life. But remember, it is never too late to start at any age.
Our balance declines as we age. This can result in an increased risk of falls, loss of confidence, reduced mobility and decreased independence. Falls aren’t an inevitable part of ageing and we can do something about it now. Don't stop living out of fear, take control with my balance and fall prevention programming.
